My Mother used to cook Kale when I was a kid living at home and I loved it. But now I am trying to eat healthy. She used to boil it to death and add bacon grease to it which cooks off all of the good nutrients and add cholesterol to it. I tried a healthy recipe tonight and I did not like it. I made a braised Kale with Ginger and I did not like it at all. Does anyone here know of any healthy recipes for Kale?
Kale is one of the worlds most amazing and healthy vegetable, and most people only think of it as a garnish that come from a restaurant when you order a stake dinner.
Honesty the best way to eat kale is don’t cook it at all. Kale is naturally dense with nutrients and minerals, and they mostly get lost in the cooking process. If you have a high powered blender you can mix it with soy milk a banana and a date, and you will have a delicious and nutritious green smoothie that will give you energy for hours. I know to the average person it sounds gross, but it really is yummy. Make sure you buy organic.
If eating raw kale is something that doesn’t quite appease you, then try putting it in a dehydrate, like they do to dry fruit and make beef jerky. That way you preserve the dense vitems and mineral content of the kale. Before dehydrating dip the kale leaves in cold pressed olive oil and sprinkle it with garlic and sea salt. After they come out of the dehydrator in a few hours, you will have a healthy and tasty snack that is very similar to potato chips with out all of the fat and guilt. I hope this was helpful to you.

Garlic Sausage should be the smoked kind, cooked and sliced. Peel and chop potatoes. Combine with vegetable oil and water. Cook for 20 to 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Remove potatoes and reserve liquid. Mash potatoes through a sieve and return to potato liquid. Add salt and pepper and simmer for 20 minutes.
