Argh. Ok So I’ve made a life change to get healthy and lose weight. That was 4 months ago. I’ve lost 25lbs. I’m working hard at it, not eating more then 1500 a day. I eat oatmeal in the morning then alot of protein throughout the day. I dont eat after 6pm. I dont eat carbs at supper. I eat alot of veggies and fruits. I go to the gym 6x a week. I do a TON of cardio and some weight lifts. I haven’t lost a pound for over a month.
I think this non-weight loss is a problem.
So I went to the doctor to have tests.
She gave me blood test for diabetics and thyroid. (don’t know the results yet)
But I think I’m crazy because she told me how to diet, I KNOW!!!!! she also said to exercise, I AM!!!!!!!!!! lol and she said that when you hit a plateau, to eat more, I’ve tried and gained!
Am I crazy?
I feel obsessed with this…:(
Any advice would be great!
oh and this is horrible: She suggested I come back in 2months. If theres not a weight loss she will prescribe appetite thing (so im not as hungry) WHAT! I’m not eating alot
When you Plateau your body is trying to retain itself and survive, so don’t listen to the doctor go to a special trainer they are trained to help you figure out your body not a doctor unless she is a fitness doctor.
Anyway, when you Plateau you need to change your food choices, if you are eating the same all the time then you need to change that, like if you eat oatmeal in the mornings all the time then change it for fruit salads
Also you need to change your workout routine, I Plateaued last year and I started running more than I weight lifted and started to lose weight again, also you should think about just playing basketball or doing something other than working out because that will change your body weight as well.
You should also consider that your body may be transforming and gaining muscle weight instead of fat and that is why you are not losing weight. You may be losig fat now but gaining in muscle which is fine, I would rather be 20 lbs "overweight" if it were muscle and not fat.
Go by how you look in the mirror, what your clothes feel like and so on, don’t worry you can do it!
