I Know Your Suppose to Watch Your Calories? …How do i know How Many Calories are In What Food? Or… How do i know How Much Calories I should Eat In a Day? I’ve Read some Articles on Healthy Food and Things about Wrong…Oils? I Dont understand what It means Like its difficult For me XP ANyways… Anyone Know how to Epxlain it More.. Clearly?
I don’t count calories. Ever. I find it terribly tedious and nerve wracking.
I eat unprocessed foods-whole nuts, seeds (both unsalted), fruits, veggies, whole grain pasta, whole grain bread, lean meat, eggs, cheese, and fat free cows milk or soymilk. Just stop eating processed foods.
Of course, every now and again I do eat junk food (cookies, and ice cream are my favorites) but I generally don’t keep them in the house. If they aren’t there, I can’t eat it. I do usually have all natural chips and crackers to munch on, because I like to snack as much as the next person.
Eat a variety of foods. Make sure your fruits and veggies cover all the colors of the rainbow to make sure you’re getting a good variety. And don’t expect to meet your fruit and veggie quota every day. A better way to track it is to look at what you eat throughout the week.
Some people find keeping a food journal helpful. Again, I don’t because I simply don’t have the patience for it. If you do it, make sure you write EVERYTHING that goes into your mouth. It makes you feel more accountable for what you are putting to your body.
Lastly, get rid of the soda. Diet, regular, caffeine free, it’s ALL BAD for you. Drink water, and fresh juices (or no sugar added juices). Soda is bad bad bad. Keep away from it. I’ve seen people give up soda and drop 10 pounds in a month JUST from that.
Onto fats-trans fats are bad. Trans fats are man made and clog your arteries. Saturated fats are bad. Look for unsaturated fats-avocados, nuts, olive oil, safflower oil, etc.
Don’t overwhelm yourself and stop everything overnight. Lifestyle changes take time. Change one thing at a time, give it a few weeks, and make the next. Let yourself have a soda every so often, just not every day. Eat a piece of chocolate, just not ten. Never deprive yourself. Just everything in moderation.
