I’ve been a vegetarian for about a month.
My question is: How do you lose weight on a vegetarian diet?? Is it fairly easy?
I haven’t had much luck with it. But I think I eat more bread and stuff (bread, cereal, oatmeal, etc.) than I do anything else. Is that the problem??
Should I have an apple instead of a slice of bread or some cereal for a snack??
I do about 150 sit-ups a day. Will cutting back on carbohydrates help that along?
I drink lots of water, too.
I know some carbs are good. I’m not planning on cut them out completely. I know all about Dr. Atkins, lol!
I didn’t go veg just to lose weight. I decided it would be a healthier life style, and better for the environment/animals.
Although getting healthier was a part of it all.
Welcome to the veggie club
, but I hope you didn’t become a vegetarian just because you want to loose weight. Just like meat eaters we need to exercise more and cut back if we want to loose weight.
- Cut back on the: bread, cereal and pasta, and use only whole grain products.
- If you use dairy cut back on it, or use skim milk. If you use eggs skip the yoke and eat only the white.
- keep a food journal, so you know how many calleries your eating in a day.
- the sit-ups good but you should walking or running atleast 3 times a week also.
- last of all watch the junk food.
