Weight Loss Help…Please help?

Hello everyone. I am 21 years old, and I weigh around 290. I am also 5"11. I have battling with my weight for years. Two years ago I gave birth to my wonderful son, and I got diabetes. Now I have it for real. I have to give myself 2 shots a day with insulin. Anyways, my question is if I do this ( i will explain below) how much do you think I can loose in a year. My doctor said it is a safe and good diet for me cause my weight and also cause I am diabetic. He recommended the low carb aka Atkins.

People say that I do not look 290 but I really am. I have a stomach, and butt and thighs lol. So when you look at my pictures, plz dont say I dont need to loose weight, cause the number shows =] haha.

everyone says that i will look so beautiful when i loose my weight, and some people say i do not need to loose weight, but in my heart and the scale, I DO!!!

okay, so if i do this everyday, and i mean EVERYDAY, how much weight do you THINK i can loose?
My goal weight is to be 150. So that means I need to loose around 140.

-Drink water, nothing but water, maybe diet soda, with splenda, not alot though…
-eat chicken, some meats, salads, veggies, protein ext..
-My mother in law is giving me a treadmill, and I am going to do 3 miles a day, including situps and im going to try push ups, but that may have to happen later lol.
-Also be active, and get good nights of sleep.
-Also do other exercises, like take my son for walks and the park and other things.

SOOO, how much do you all THINK I CAN LOOSE. Please dont say it depends, because I need advice and encouragment.

Yes, definitely. If you keep to that you will lose lots of weight. However, i have also battled with weight for many years and i recommend easing yourself into it. For example, start with 2 miles again on the treadmill and each week increase it by half a mile or whatever is good for you. This diet/exercise regime will be very hard to keep to if you have a job and a son! If you do, you wil be respected greatly! Good luck with it, i hope you suceed!
