what are healthy lunches for kids?

I’m starting my kids in a preschool program and I have to provide a lunch that does not have to be prepared by a teacher. I’m used to cooking lunch for my kids and I have no idea of any healthy cold lunches I could pack for my kids…3years old and 18 months old.

I am a preschool teacher and my son attends the school where I am employed. We also have to provide lunches that are pre-made. I send left overs from dinner in a thermos. Hummus and crackers, wraps, chicken strips (roasted), waffles and bacon etc. Anything my son normally eats at home I have been able to package in some way for him to eat at school without it being warm. He is 3 and it really seems to help if I package it creatively…as well as always including a small treat like one marshmallow (small), half a cookie, fruit leather etc. There is a great website called www.laptoplunches.com that shows great ideas for lunches. Good luck…it’s an ever evolving quest in my house!
